Financial Assistant (PI) - PORT OF SPAIN CAMPUS (Closing Date October 27th, 2017)
The consultant will provide critical support in the management and execution of the project, monitoring the project to ensure it is delivered on time and in accordance with CARPHA policies and IDB regulations. The consultant has the responsibility for ensuring that the project meets the quality standards and other expected outcomes for stakeholders and the Agency. The Project/Financial Assistant will also be responsible for carrying out the financial and accounting activities in accordance with the Agency's financial rules and regulations, Work involves specialized financial and accounting tasks, including monitoring budget allotment, assigning accounting codes, recording and reconciling financial transactions and preparation of reports. The incumbent must be able to apply the agency's financial rules and regulations to day-to-day operations and maintain appropriate accounting controls and practices. . Laboratory Technologist (PI) – PORT-OF-SPAIN CAMPUS (Closing Date October 27th, 2017)
The consultant will be required to work closely with the Biorisk Manager at CARPHA for the execution of regional and national biosafety capacity building activities including those included within the Regional Coordinating Mechanism for Health Security for Biosafety matters and training. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to assist with the distribution of surveys, collation and analysis of data for the completion of country assessments related to biosafety capacity and national policy implementation.
