DIRECTOR - Surveillance, Disease, Prevention & Control (P7) – PORT OF SPAIN (Closing Date: February 24th , 2017)
The incumbent is a member of the CARPHA Executive Management Team and serves as CARPHA's technical focal point to coordinate and direct public health surveillance and response activities related to conditions of regional and international importance. The incumbent will provide technical direction in strengthening existing and developing new initiatives in surveillance, prevention and control as well as on the uses of health information, epidemiology principles and methods as applied to the areas of public health surveillance, epidemiological assessments, planning and evaluation of the health situation. The incumbent will direct and coordinate the surveillance and laboratory functions of CARPHA to include training, research, planning and evaluation, mobilization of partners and resources to support delivery of the Agency' mandate.
The post of Director- Surveillance, Disease Prevention and Control is pivotal and critical to the achievement of the Agency's mandate. The revised post description shows an additional reliance on the following competencies:

SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER – OECS HEALTH DESK, CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA (Closing Date March 10th, 2017)
Under the collaborative supervision of the Assistant Director - Surveillance, Disease Prevention & Control at CARPHA and the Head of Health & Social Cluster at the OECS Commission, the post holder will function in a multi-disciplinary manner and be responsible for the coordination of all public health initiatives of CARPHA within the OECS Sub-Region. This will include seeking additional funding to complement resources received by CARPHA which excludes the OECS sub region, intensive liaison with technical and management units within CARPHA, OECS Commission, and at regional and global levels with other relevant partners. At launch this programme will focus on providing support to public health programmes in the OECS Sub-region . The post holder will provide coordination between OECS Commission and CARPHA to ensure the in-country needs are clearly identified, that the services to be delivered by CARPHA are contained in the Agency's work programme and that there are clearly identified 'point persons' within the relevant ministries.

This position is responsible for planning, designing and implementing the CRN+ activities of primarily focused on the PANCAP Global Fund grant and the day-to-day management of CRN+ aimed at strengthening the visibility, voice and impact of the Caribbean Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS (CRN+), building on and in collaboration, with the PANCAP Local Capacity Initiative (LCI) project and CVC-COIN grant programme.

The Ministry of Health, Agriculture and Human Services, Turks and Caicos Island is inviting applications for the position of Health Registrar.
The post holder is responsible for the efficient, effective, customer oriented management and administration of all registration functions of medical practitioners, and activities in accordance with statutory requirements, TCIG Ministry of Health policies and procedures and Council guidelines pertaining to registration duties. As well as ensure the confidential, accurate and safe retention of all records in accordance with the Health Professions Ordinance and Health Appeal Ordinance.
Incumbent is also responsible for developing operational initiatives of continuous quality improvement (including training, communication, procedures and registration policy development) and risk management. Responsible for assessing applications for registration and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and associated tasks as part of the registration team.
