Data Management Technical Advisory Group


The roles and responsibilities of the Data Management (DM) Technical Advisory Group (TAG) are to, in accordance with the CariPHLN Work Plan:

4.1 Establish a mechanism for domestic communication and data management
4.2 Expand and improve regional reporting on laboratory surveillance
4.3 Establish standardized regional data management and communication mechanisms
4.4 Ensure security and confidentiality of patients/country data
4.5 Enhance network communication

Membership

The DM TAG will comprise no more than 10 persons from representative laboratories in the Caribbean region.


Work, Vetting and Approval Processes

• Upon completion of the work assigned to the DM TAG, the TAG will present their work to their counterpart technical experts from all CariPHLN laboratories for comment.
• Once approved by all appropriate CariPHLN technical experts, the DM TAG will present their work to the CariPHLN Executive Committee for approval.
• If the CariPHLN Executive Committee is satisfied with the work presented it will inform the CariPHLN Assembly.
