JOB SUMMARY
The OECS Commission is seeking to recruit a Programme Assistant for the implementation of the EU-ACP Biodiversity Support Programme and, by extension, to serve the needs of the Environmental Sustainability Division (ESD).
Reporting to the Biodiversity and Ecosystems Management Programme (BEMP) Manager, the Programme Assistant is to provide operational and technical support to the relevant Project and Programme staff. The role will contribute to research development, coordination, facilitation and implementation of the Unit’s strategy, annual work programme.
The role will be responsible for creating an environment of trust, open communication and innovative thinking in which teams can be developed and engaged.
KEY DUTIES
More specifically, the Programme Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assist with the development and implementation of the annual work programme.
- Provide support to designated officers in the execution of their work including ensuring compliance with the rules, procedures and guidelines of the organization and funding agency.
- Conduct research and data analysis to inform the work of the Project / Division.
