PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

 

 

CARPHA was legally established in July 2011 by an Inter-governmental Agreement (IGA) signed by Heads of Caribbean Governments and began operations in January 2013.  CARPHA’s functions encompass the responsibilities of five (5) previously existing regional health institutions.  Work in these areas advances the public health agenda in the Region and makes a valuable and coordinated contribution to the knowledge and resources of the international health community. 

 

 

You are invited to submit a quotation for the following laboratory equipment item#1 and item#2 as stated in the technical specifications below.

 

Partial Quotation are Allowed: Item # 1 or/and Item # 2

 

  1. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Item 1: Dissolution System Unit

 

  • Cost quoted should include cost of equipment, accessories, insurance and freight

 

  1. Technical Specifications:

 

  •  Meets international standards for dissolution systems including compliance with international standards of the United States Pharmacopeia, US FDA, 21 CFR part 2 for dissolution systems

 

  • 8 vessel positions with the dissolution vessels and covers

 

  • Option and configuration for manual or automatic withdrawal/ sampling as desired by MQCSD

 

  • Appropriate Dissolution Accessories:
  • USP Apparatus 1 (Baskets) and shafts made of inert material
  • USP Apparatus 2 (Paddles) and shafts made of inert material
  • Sinkers
  • Height adjusters for USP Apparatus 1 and 2 respectively
  • Any other associated accessories or consumables for operation and maintenance

 

  • Speed for apparatus rotation: between 25 to 250 rpm

 

  • Temperature range for water bath: 25 to 550C

 

  • Specifications for laboratory environment

 

Electrical

  • Voltage: 110V-120V/ 220V – 240V
  • Frequency: 50Hz

 

 

  1. Service requirements:

 

Installation

  • Advisory and discussion with Medicines Quality Control and Surveillance Department for site preparation requirements as required
  • Installation, qualification and mechanical calibration of dissolution unit system
  • Training of staff to use equipment

 

After Sale service

 

  • At least 1 year warranty
  • Biannual qualification, mechanical calibration, preventative maintenance of instruments
