The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the OECS Regional Health Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for a Social Media Developer

 

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

To be responsible for the overall to develop tools to facilitate the optimization of digital platforms and support campaign development. 

 

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK

 

The use of its digital platforms (websites and social media) is one of the ways that CARPHA is seeking to ensure that its work towards the outputs and outcomes of the project has the desired effect.  CARPHA is seeking to capture evidence and share the impact of the project’s achievements and milestones in addition to, determining behaviour changes and engagement that is being effected through the use and application of these digital platforms

 

The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment are attached with this REOI .

 

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) now invites eligible consulting individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria is as follows:

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:

 

Academic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Certificate qualifications in Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field. A working knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, Java, C++ and PHP.

Technical Expertise:

  • Data Visualisation and mining,
  • Analytics and social media management
  • Developing Custom Reports
  • Working knowledge of social media strategies,
  • Strong knowledge of the application and interpretation of media analytics

 

Specific Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing social media and website analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

General Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an analytical environment
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven organizational, project management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in website development

 

Languages

  • Excellent knowledge of English – written and spoken

IT Skills

  • Ability to effectively use a computer and utilize software programmes such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

 

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work with the organisation’s challenging expectations, including addressing urgent requests.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with good inter-personal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the CARPHA’s mandate and activities in the Caribbean Region as well as with CARPHA Member States.

 

Duration of the assignment: The contract will be for a period of 3 months

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants set out in the Procurement Regulations.
