Background

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) established the Regional Health Communication Network (RHCN) as an avenue to provide strategic, timely and effective communication in public health. The Network is also meant to bridge the gap in the limited communication resources available at many Ministries of Health of Member States.

Working together the team establishes communication policies, highlights best practices and standard operating procedures to assist with the distribution of communication initiatives in member states.

The Network maintains frequent contact using virtual and face to face meetings, online communications via email and WhatsApp.

Members of the Network :

  • Receive training in areas of interest that impact their work
  • Share ideas and knowledge
  • Strengthen connections in public health
  • Share their communication products
  • Gain perspectives on trending health topics
