Sample Referral to CMML

Samples can be referred to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) Medical Microbiology Laboratory (CMML) for specialized diagnostic testing, confirmation, surveillance, and public health investigations. Referring laboratories and healthcare facilities should ensure that samples are properly collected, packaged, labelled, and transported in accordance with International Infectious Substances Shipping Regulations and CARPHA Submission Requirements. Accompanying documentation, including patient and test request information, must be completed accurately to facilitate timely testing and reporting. (Refer to User Manual)

CARPHA supports Member States through quality laboratory services that strengthen disease surveillance, outbreak detection, and regional public health response.
