GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP

The Center for Global Health of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the U.S., in collaboration with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), St. George's University (SGU), and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) will hold a Caribbean regional grant writing workshop to encourage Caribbean investigators to address public health issues through research.

Application forms must be completed online at https://Caribbean Grant Writing Workshop.

Applicants are requested to complete the application form and provide supporting documentation via this website no later than Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:59 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

Completed applications must be accompanied by the following documents and uploaded as a Microsoft Word document or in PDF format:



1., Updated CV to include your research interest and five most recent publications (no more than two-pages)

2., A support statement from the applicant's Program Supervisor, Department Head and/or Research Collaborator on institutional letterhead

3., Concept paper describing research project (4 to 5 pages); for research administrators a description of experience (1 to 2 pages)

•, Eligible applicants are Caribbean health researchers who live and conduct research in the Caribbean and plan to apply to grants from NIH and other participating agencies and organizations; administrators who are managing grants at their institutions.

•, Applicants will be selected on a competitive basis through an evaluation of submitted applications and other required documents.

•, Travel Awards and mentoring opportunities will be available to the top qualified candidates.
