Though just a little island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, Barbados draws hundreds of thousands each year to experience the azure waters, pure white sand, delicious cuisine the lauded hospitality that is uniquely Barbadian.
Beyond its year-round sunshine, Barbados offers something for everyone through its innumerable attractions including natural wonders such as the world-renowned Harrison’s Cave, as well as the Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison, which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is just one of the attractions offering insight into the island’s rich history.
Tourism constitutes a large portion of Barbados’ economy and thus 12% of GDP is attributed to the Tourism industry. It is an area that employs thousands of Barbadians from hotel staff to taxi drivers.
